Company Overview

History

Recclesia is a family business founded in 2009 by Jamie Moore and Geoff Moore, well known conservators in their fields of stone masonry and stained glass. The company has grown steadily since its inception and is today ranked amongst the most capable and qualified conservation specialists in the UK. Acting both as Principal Contractor and specialist sub-contractor, Recclesia has successfully completed a wide range of building conservation projects and specialist works to a varied collection of historic buildings and sites.

As well as undertaking conservation work, Recclesia also offers its expertise to clients who require consultancy work, condition surveys, and material analysis. You can find out more about all of our services here.

What We Do

Recclesia is a multi-disciplined conservation specialist with a broad spectrum of in-house skills. We are conservators, conservation contractors and heritage consultants working across the United Kingdom.

Who We Work With

Recclesia principally works with conservation architects, building surveyors, owners of listed or special buildings, and government organisations such as Historic England, Cadw, and local authorities.

We usually act as Principal Contractor, but have partnered with several major companies to deliver specialist works packages as part of infrastructure and transformation projects for companies including Lend Lease, Laing O'Rourke, HS2 Ltd, Willmott Dixon, McAlpine, Stanhope PLC, and Brookfield Multiplex.

We also complete a significant amount of complex conservation work every year for national heritage guardians such as Cadw, English Heritage, National Trust, building trusts and charities.

Why Recclesia?

We are one of the few conservation companies in the UK that continues to maintain a full in-house staff of conservators and traditionally skilled craftsmen and women rather than relying entirely on sub-contractors or ad-hoc freelance teams.

Our ability to offer a broad range of conservation skills and services as part of the same team is one of the main reasons we're chosen to work on some of the UK's most outstanding buildings.
