Beaumaris Castle Ynys Mon
Work has started in earnest at Beaumaris Castle, with Recclesia having been appointed as Principal Contractor to undertake a complete reworking of the visitor centre for Cadw. The four month project will see the extension and refurbishment of the existing visitor centre which is nestled inside the castle walls. The castle will remain open for the duration of the works.
As well as the reordering of the internal layout and expansion of the ticketing and retail spaces, new facilities for Cadw custodian staff is also being provided, as well as accessibility improvements. The retail areas will be furnished with a new suite of bespoke merchandising units, significantly improving the visitor experience to one of North Wales' most iconic castle buildings.
