Celebrating #Rowvember: A Month of Heritage and Understanding

Throughout this November, Chester’s historic Rows have been taking centre stage in the Heritage Festival's #Rowvember campaign. This event celebrates the city’s unique medieval shopping galleries and rows, their cultural significance, and the need to understand and conserve them. The month-long event is looking to highlight the Rows' architectural charm and invites the public to explore their stories and engage with its spaces and landmarks.

A key element of preserving these important structures has been the work of Recclesia’s specialist conservators on the Chester Rows HAZ (Heritage Action Zone) project for a number of years. Our team’s expertise and diligent work has ensured that some 100+ listed building and their rows are not only protected for future generations but also continue to serve as a living part of Chester’s vibrant community. This preservation effort is a testament to the importance of maintaining our shared heritage, ensuring that these iconic buildings remain a timeless link to the city’s past and its commercial future.

This #Rowvember, let’s celebrate both the history of the Rows and the dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to protect them, and the communities that care and nurture them.
